O Nucleus of Studies of Musical and Vocal Poetics (Nepom) of Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) promotes the lecture Being Black in Florianopolis, with the participation of the coordinator of the Afro Artesanal Fair, Marcio Jose Pereira de Souza, by the plastic artist Bruno Barbi and slammer Daniel DKG. The event is held at Henrique Fontes Auditorium, block B of the Communication and Expression Center. The guests discuss aspects of what it's like to be black in Florianópolis, history, racism and the relationship with peripheral cultures. The event is important for the training of teachers and for reflections on the application of Law 11.645/08, which requires the teaching of Afro-Brazilian and African history and culture in Brazil. At the end of the event, a certificate of participation recognized by Ufsc is issued. No prior registration is required.
