Memory, Archive and Self-Esteem Project at the Santa Catarina Dance Circuit

O Multiple Dance – International Contemporary Dance Festival seeks to expand its capillarity with an unfolding, a proposal for reflection that is structured through the project Memory, Archive and Self-esteem in the Santa Catarina Dance Circuit. This is a cultural meeting at the Museu Histórico de Santa Catarina – Palácio Cruz e Sousa, on April 30, in downtown Florianópolis (SC), which consists of four roundtables called Dialogues, open and inclusive, in person and broadcast. live on YouTube with the participation of two Libras interpreters. The initiative is legitimized by the Edict Aldir Blanc 2021.

The initiative involves eight guests, four themes, two Libras interpreters and two mediators. Each of the tables will have two professionals. In four axes, the intention is to discuss the importance of individual and collective memory, the management and access of private data, the value of personal archives and the construction of inclusion for people with disabilities. The themes “Dialogue with the Media and Production” bring together journalists Néri Pedroso and Paula Albuquerque, “Accessibility in the Arts” bring together Lilian Vilela and Thiago Rossi, “Digital Archeology: From the Past to the Future” bring together Fernando Boppré and Marco Martins and, for Finally, “Mappings: Memory, Archive and Self-esteem” unite the reports of Sandra Meyer and Luiz Moukarzel in the implementation of the platforms Midiateca de Dança, in 2019, and Mapa Cultural, in 2020.

The approaches cover aspects of memory, collections, archives, data and biographical materials, whose organization and visibility expand collective consciousness, notions of belonging, representation and can help to raise the self-confidence of cultural workers. Public and private management tools that rely on mapping stimulate feelings of identity. The Mapa Cultural, a project of the state government and the Midiateca da Dança, a private initiative, condense information from the universe of art and dance in Santa Catarina, ensure recognition, legitimize trajectories and encourage research and knowledge that impact the self-esteem of those who produce. and works in the artistic sector.
