Oyster Marine Farm tour with oyster sequence

Santa Catarina leads the ranking of oyster production in the country, and here you have the chance to know the path that these appreciated molluscs take to reach the table.

The restaurant Oyster Bar Parish introduce your customers to marine farmlocated in Saint Anthony of Lisbon, in Florianópolis, where, on average, eight thousand dozen oysters are produced from December to February.

The tour to the oyster farm is for groups of two to four people. The visit lasts for 45 minutes at sea and one more hour of tasting of a delicious string of oysters at the restaurant.

The tasting menu includes oysters in versions: on the breath, in natura, gratin, with garlic and oil, in addition to andoyster skewers, shrimp patties, oyster risotto e oyster stroganoff.

On the tour, participants have contact with the oyster seeds that arrive from Laboratory of Marine Molluscs of the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), and understand how the process of sorting, cleaning and installing seeds at sea works.
