The small French island is located in front of the beaches of Canasvieiras and Jurerê. Between the beach and the island, there is a 6 km path in calm seas and without waves. As an option for sports leisure, the Florida Stand Up Paddle holds, on Sunday (23/02), the French Island crossing. The tour starts at 9 am and returns at 13 pm.
At a leisurely pace, the estimated time to complete the journey is 40 minutes. Arriving on the island, there are two small beaches with warm and clear waters, which can vary between green and blue, creating the perfect setting for a swim.
After a break, paddle around the island admiring a landscape surrounded by high rocks and cliffs covered by Atlantic Forest. Difficulty level: low Adventure level: very high To participate, you don't need to have SUP experience. We provide full instructions on paddling and safety procedures before starting the tour. Total distance covered: 5 km (1,6 km one way + 1,8 km return on the island + 1,6 km return). Duration time: The entire dynamic of the round trip experience lasts 4 hours in total.
In addition to sports, the Florida Stand Up Paddle has the proposal to offer an experience that combines leisure and adventure - focused on the contemplation of nature -, in order to promote and preserve the natural and cultural environment of Florianópolis.
