Chopp do Gus celebrates World Rock Day with six concerts and the exhibition Cores do Rock, between Thursday (13) and Saturday (15). The Córrego Grande and Kobrasol venues will have specials by Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, Skank, Paralamas do Sucesso, Pearl Jam, Engenheiros do Hawaii, Capital Inicial, Metallica and Aerosmith, in addition to the night The New British Invasion, with the band Get Back. The program is part of the events that mark the 15 years of the chopeira.
World Rock Day, celebrated in Brazil on July 13, is a reference to the Live Aid festival, promoted by musician and actor Bob Geldof on that date, in 1985. The concerts took place simultaneously in England and the United States, with income reverted to the famine in Ethiopia.
