Bernardete Castelan Póvoas and Luís Cláudio Barros, four-handed piano duo, have musical affinity and technical-sound refinement. As a duo, they perform and participate in important musical events in Brazil and abroad. Formed in 2010, the duo's main focus is to promote the wide repertoire for pianistic duos, highlighting the works of Brazilian and South American composers. Its main characteristics are the musical affinity between the pianists and the concern with technical-sound refinement. The duo performs at different institutions. Some of his main tours were the “Série Danças” and “Piano em Foco”, presented in cities in Santa Catarina and Paraná, and the “Brasil em Danças” tour held in 2015 in Portugal. In 2015, the duo also made the national debut of the “Concerto for piano with four hands”, by Liduíno Pitombeira with the Unicamp Symphony Orchestra conducted by Alessandro Sangiorgi. In addition to their careers as soloists, Castelan and Barros also work as pedagogues and researchers at the State University of Santa Catarina (UDESC).
