At Dawn – Paulinho da Viola

! - This event/schedule has already happened - !

Reverence and celebration. In At dawn, Paulinho da Viola dedicates it to his father and guitarist César Faria, who would have turned 100 in 2019; and to partner and friend Elton Medeiros, who died on the 4th. He also takes the opportunity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the release of two classics of his work, the sambas Sinal Fechado and Foi um rio que passed in my life.

With this performance in Florianópolis, the singer and songwriter from Rio de Janeiro, one of the icons of Brazilian popular music, continues the tour that began a year ago at the Vivo Rio concert hall, at the Museum of Modern Art, in Rio de Janeiro. He has the company of the band formed by João Rabello (guitar), Dininho Silva (bass), Adriano Souza (piano), Mário Sève (winds), Ricardo Costa (drums), Celsinho Silva, Esguleba and Hércules Nunes (percussion). There is also the participation of singer Beatriz Rabello, daughter of Paulinho.

In the show's script, although lesser-known songs were included, including O timido e a manequim, Ruas que dreami and Vela no breu; consecrated sambas of Paulinho's work predominate, such as Coração leviano, Dança da solitude, Eu canto samba, Onde a dor não tem reason, Recomeçar, Timoneiro, besides, of course, the aforementioned Sinal Fechado and the Portelense anthem It was a river that passed in my life.
