Born on April 7, 1965, in Bayonne, he was the youngest of 3 children. His older brothers, Gérard and Serge, became musicians, which ended up influencing the young Sylvain's decision to pursue an artistic career. Sylvain Luc discovered the guitar at age 4, then studied violin and cello for 10 years. In 1988, he moved to Paris, became an arranger, composer and began a career of performing alongside important names such as: Al Jarreau (1940-2017), Catherine Lara, Wynton Marsalis, John McLaughlin, Richard Galliano, among others. .
