To welcome the year 2020, Clube 55 presents Dudu Maia in Florida!
the mandolinist Dudu Maia, indicated to Grammy 2018, is considered one of the world mandolin exponents. He stands out in Brazil and abroad acting as instrumentalist, composer, and musical productor sharing the stage with renowned names of Brazilian and international music.
In the show on January 10th, Dudu will be accompanied by a team of local artists formed by Tom Cykman on guitar, Raphael Galcer on the 7-string guitar and Maicon Ouriques on the tambourine.
The presentation will take place in an atmosphere of a choro circle, with plenty of room for improvisation and interaction between the musicians.
The house will open at 19pm and the show will be at 20pm.
A little more about Dudu Maia:
In the last 10 years, Dudu has been acting as artistic and pedagogical director of the Center Choro Workshop, the largest annual event dedicated exclusively to Choro in the United States. He is also co-author of "Crying Handbook", a pioneering method for those who want to study and delve into the language of Choro.
For over 15 years he has been performing around the world performing shows and workshops. Highlight for his work with the Trio Brasileiro which, with five albums released, won great recognition from the public and international critics. His most recent album, Anat Cohen & Trio Brasileiro - "wind rose" (2017), was nominated for the 60th Grammy Awards (USA) in the category "Best World Music Album". In this album, recorded in his own studio, Dudu acts as instrumentalist, composer and music producer.
