The Austrian sitarist performs in a free concert, performing pieces from her vast repertoire, which includes songs from different periods of history, as well as typical pieces from Alpine folklore. Born in Bavaria, Germany, and based in Austria, Gertrud is dedicated to promoting her instrument and the music written for it. Among her performances, the sitar solo from "Tales from the Vienna Woods" with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Kurt Masur, stands out.
