Coming from the verb to play a musical instrument, the first toccatas were written by Venetian organists in the XNUMXth century. XVI. In Scarlatti it is the challenge of repeated notes. With several sections in its structure, even including a fugue, the toccata's heyday was in the Baroque period with JS Bach. Vania Pimentel graduated in Music from the School of Music and Fine Arts of Paraná. She completed with a lauda the course on "Concert Maturity" at the Higher School of Music in Karlsruhe (Germany).
