Zeca Baleiro is back with his reading of the songbook Joe Ramalho, this time on tour to release the CD/DVD “Chalk Floor | Zeca Baleiro sings Zé Ramalho". The show highlights Zeca and his musical conception, how he adapted and understood the poetry and epic and apocalyptic universe of Ze Ramalho. Northeasterners, although from different “northeasts”, Baleiro and Zé Ramalho have natural affinities, as well as sharing some influences musicals – 60s rock, youth guard, cordel, sudden –, which are evident during the show.
In the repertoire, great hits, some surprises and forgotten pearls, such as “Chão de giz”, “Vila do sossego”, “Taxi boy”, “The third blade”, “Eternas Ondas”, “Avohai” and “Rei do rock””, partnership between Baleiro and Ramalho. Zeca's band is made up of Tuco Marcondes (guitars and vocals), Fernando Nunes (low), Pedro Cunha (keyboards, samplers, synthesizers and accordion), Adriano Magoo (keyboards, samplers, synthesizers and accordion) and Kuki Stolarski (drums and percussion).
