The event Latin Scene creates in Florianópolis a hub for exchange between artists, managers and theater producers in the Latin America, promoting the circulation of theatrical works from the continent in the capital of Santa Catarina and opening opportunities for artists from the state to contact managers and artists from neighboring countries. The project was awarded the Elisabete Anderle Prize for Stimulating Culture 2014 and has two parallel activities: Latin American solo theater show and the Latin American meeting on theater management and production.
A Latin American solo theater show features the presentation of four shows, all of which have the characteristic of being starred by a single actor/actress. Already the Latin American meeting on theater management and production has the presence of the directors of the Latin American Theater Corridor (CLT): Mauro Molina e Manuel Ortiz, who created the CLT with the aim of generating a platform for exchange between theater directors.
