The concert will be in gratitude and reverence to Darcy Brasiliano dos Santos for his dedication to classical music in Santa Catarina. For over 40 years he was president of Pró-Música de Florianópolis, bringing great concerts to the city. On stage, the pianists Alberto Heller, Guilherme Amaral e Vanderlei Jochem; the sopranos Alicia Cupani, Claudia Ondrusek, Kalinka Damiani e Masami Ganev; baritone Fernando De Carli; and tenor Ricardo Castro.
Also participating in the concert are Associação Coral de Florianópolis and Polyphonia Khoros, of which Darcy is a founding member, and Camerata Florianópolis. The repertoire includes works by Mozart, Chopin, Villa-Lobos and Bizet, some of the honoree's favorite authors. The proceeds will be donated to the honoree who often used his own resources to maintain Pró-Música.
