Dona Bilica is a character created by the actress Vanderléia Will. It emerged in 1991 from several field research carried out in the interior of the island of Florianópolis, observing the way of being, thinking and living of the natives and former residents of our island. Twenty years after its creation, the actress visited former residents of Santa Catarina Island with the aim of collecting material for the assembly of a new show. The documentary portrays the process that transformed these meetings into a theatrical show, where the memory of a Santa Catarina culture is celebrated.
