To Confissão de Lúcio is a theatrical show based on the homonymous novel by the Portuguese author Mário de Sá-Carneiro. In the monologue, the writer Lúcio Vaz, after serving ten years in prison in silence, decides to confess to his crime, or rather, to demonstrate his innocence, involving viewers in a mysterious and disturbing plot. Published for the first time in 1914, the work presents the innovative language that would mark the pages of the modern magazine Orpheu, a scandal to bourgeois values at the beginning of the 2017th century. Now, taken to the stage, the play resumes the discussion of themes that are still daring and relevant today, such as the concepts of identity, gender and art. The show is the result of the disciplines of Acting IV and Staging IV, from the Performing Arts course at the Federal University of Santa Catarina – UFSC, taught respectively by Professor Dr. Débora Zamarioli and by Professor Dr. Almir Ribeiro da Silva Filho. The work continues after its debut in December XNUMX, extending the teaching and research carried out at the university to the community.
