the puppet show Alice in Wonderland, from Papum's gang, is an adaptation of Lewis Carroll's work full of new songs based on Brazilian rhythms, such as samba, chorinho and viola caipira. The play is staged in a black theater, where the only lighting is ultraviolet light. That way, the handlers are never seen, which makes the presentation magical and surprising.
Alice lives on a small farm and besides enjoying reading, she loves fruits and animals. One of them, Sapo Cururu, accompanies the girl on this journey full of adventure. In one of them, Alice finds herself face to face with an evil Queen. Now, to get Alice out of the queen's hands, the girl needs to win a football match. Can she?
The play forms part of the 22nd Isnard Azevedo Theater Festival.
