before the coup, the musical, tells the story of six young people alienated by the political moment of their time who decide to have a luau around a bonfire on the night before the Military Coup of April 1, 1964. On the night of March 31, 1964, they will gather unaware of the fateful event that is about to happen. This among other facts that will forever change the lives of all of Brazil and the history of this group of very different friends. The repertoire of songs is based on an anthropological study of the 100 most played songs on Brazilian radio in the years 62, 63 and 64, in a great pout-pourri transforming the original lyrics into dialogues. Composed of 6 singing actors and a band, the show is performed entirely live.
