Ciranda, a popular dance in the Brazilian Northeast and a traditional children's game, is the inspiration for the show Cirandar, by Grupo Cultural Roda Viva. The play, which is part of the Domingo é Dia de Teatro project, is filled with traditional songs, such as Master André's store and the tale of Dona Baratinha, counting on the presence of the characters in the songs themselves to play with the audience. In the show, the audience also learns a little more about elements of Brazilian popular culture, such as Boi de papaya and Afoxé.
