How to Scare Monsters is a tragicomic play for adults released by Untitled Collective in 2017. Two friends, with the imagery of violence stimulated by a story their mother tells, start to monstrify themselves and to monstrify the other. The play revisits the myth of childhood innocence to investigate the power games that give conditions to the process of the other's monstrification and asks if it is possible to cure oppressors. Whether someone is going to cry or laugh is up to each one, urges the play's director, Osmar Domingos. The group will also give free collage-scene workshops, a technique that has been used by artists in their creation processes. The project has the support of the State of Santa Catarina, Secretary of State for Tourism, Culture and Sport, Fundação Catarinense de Cultura, FUNCULTURAL and Elisabete Anderle Edict/2017.
