Marilyn Show in White and Black with Dinah Perry – Thursday

! - This event/schedule has already happened - !

The contemporary musical was conceived and starred by Dinah Perry, choreographer, actress and dancer. It is on display in Floripa on the 22nd and 23rd of May.

Inspired by the book Fragments – Poems, intimate notes and Marilyn Monroe letters, organized by Bernard Comment and Stanley Buchtahl, the show shows the star in her intimacy and flirts with musicals she starred in.

Dinah reinterprets poems and texts taken from the book, as well as some anthological scenes from her films. Fragments of these scenes punctuate the show where the body, through dance, is used as a symbol of identity.

The soundtrack features unpublished songs, inspired by the original compositions, created by the pianist Deise Hattum, who also plays the instrument live during the show. On stage, Dinah Perry performs and dances with the actors/dancers Attila Freire, Ricardo Januario e Yuri Ruppini.

Marilyn in White and Black goes beyond the charm of cinema and delves into the female universe, exposing the cultural maturity to which women underwent in the last century. A woman who, at the same time, can overflow sensitivity, face suffering and display a lot of strength. Marilyn is presented as a woman who had to mature very early due to social and artistic exposure: before being a young woman, she already carried the stigma of a woman, of a sex symbol.
