! - This event/schedule has already happened - !

From the 1st to the 30th of September, Florianópolis receives the 11th edition of the Festival Palco Giratório Sesc - largest performing arts event in the state. Theater, dance, circus, music and urban interventions are part of the programme, which also includes workshops and debates. For this year, there will be a total of 41 shows from 14 Brazilian states. The show Less Emergencies, from Manufacturing Productions (São Paulo), is composed of the short plays Um Céu Todinho Azul, Cara na Parede and Menos Emergencies. In common, the plays feature people who tell stories: In the first, a woman realizes that her marriage was a mistake, but continues to be her husband's accomplice, living a public lie, while feeding the pain and violence within her. In the second, a school massacre similar to that of the Columbine school in the United States occurs. In the third, the son of the couple from the first play is locked in a tower, while violence seems to take over the outside world. The show, written by the English playwright Martin Crimp, is recommended for people over 16 years old.
