Show The ipê and the cherry tree: Japanese and Brazilian songs – TAC

! - This event/schedule has already happened - !

In June 1908, the first Japanese immigrants arrived at the Port of Santos, in the state of São Paulo, coming from the Port of Kobe, Japan. In the midst of their culture, the Japanese brought art, religion, thought and sports of Japanese origin - cultural products widely known around the world. As in other arts, music dispenses with language. Art has the universal language of the soul, of emotion. “O ipê e a cerejeira” is a musical performance celebrating 110 years of Japanese immigration to Brazil with Japanese and Brazilian songs, performed by soprano Masami Ganev and guitarist Igor Ishikawa.
