The piece The Saint and the Pig represents the manifestation of northeastern culture. It is a theatrical play divided into three acts: introduction of the characters, development and culmination. The theme revolves around avarice, as the impasse occurs when the protagonist thinks he will lose all the money he kept in a wooden nut. Despite being a comedy, the text promotes reflection on the relationship between human beings and the physical world (represented by the pig) and the spiritual world (represented by Saint Anthony, in this adapted version, Saint Bonifácio).
