From the 1st to the 30th of September, Florianópolis receives the 11th edition of the Festival Palco Giratório Sesc - largest performing arts event in the state. Theater, dance, circus, music and urban interventions are part of the programme, which also includes workshops and debates. For this year, there will be a total of 41 shows from 14 Brazilian states.
The Sergeant Getúlio Show is a monologue that tells the story of a rude soldier, whose last mission is to arrest and transport a political enemy of his boss. The developments of this trip are narrated by the sergeant himself, who on the way through the northeastern backlands experiences adventures, dilemmas and moments of reflection. In the middle of the journey, due to changes in the political panorama, the sergeant receives the order to release the prisoner. However, due to his adverse temperament, he decides to finish the mission given to him.
