Between June 30th and July 16th, the Ubro Theater receives a season of the play"The General's Wife and the Other". With sessions always at 20:XNUMX pm on performance days, the show is presented by the theater group Dromedário Loquaz and has dramaturgy by Sulanger Bavaresco, based on the homonymous work by Iur Gomez. The scenic direction is by Sulanger Bavaresco and the musical direction is signed by Eugênio Menegaz.
Synopsis of the play:
In a country town, the rule of patriarchy extends to all social strata. Dalva, the general's wife, looks for the prostitute Jussara in the middle of the night to report her husband's death. The meeting of the two women who believe they belong to different worlds will reveal that they share a similar subordination of their lives to male decisions and, although they have not been protagonists of their choices in the past, they begin to glimpse new possibilities in the present time.
