From the 1st to the 30th of September, Florianópolis receives the 11th edition of the Festival Palco Giratório Sesc - largest performing arts event in the state. Theater, dance, circus, music and urban interventions are part of the programme, which also includes workshops and debates. For this year, there will be a total of 41 shows from 14 Brazilian states.
The show narrates the adventures of Zé Preguiça, an indolent peasant who, when forced to work, gets involved in a series of messes and unusual situations. Humble, this lazy worker begins to demonstrate various skills, receiving an unexpected reward at the end. The piece, from Namakaca Group (São Paulo), is an unfaithful adaptation of Lazy Jack, a British folktale that immortalized the archetypal figure of the lazy person present in different cultures.Start: 08/09/2014 18:00
