Sítio, in partnership with artist and filmmaker Kika Nicolela, presents the collaborative video project, Exquisite Corpse Video Project. Separated into a total of 6 volumes, we will have 6 days of exhibition of the works. The Exquisite Corpse Video Project (ECVP) is a collaborative video project with the participation of dozens of artists from around the world. Inspired by the “cadavre exquis”, a surrealist method of creation, ECVP participants create video in response to the last few seconds of the previous artist's video. Each member is invited to incorporate these seconds into their own video, creating transitions and intersections as they wish, until the fragments of all are edited together, forming a single final “body”. Instead of offering a unified linear narrative, in ECVP each participant interrogates, in different ways, a number of genres, trends and strategies.
