Once again, Florianópolis hosts one of the most important theater festivals in Brazil. Paying homage to one of the main figures of Santa Catarina shows, the Floripa Teatro - 22nd Isnard Azevedo Festival promotes, for nine days, more than 100 activities will be carried out free of charge, presenting different languages for different audiences. This year's edition draws attention for its grandeur, as well as for its diversity of content and forms of presentation. In all, 31 spaces will receive the 85 theatrical sessions presented by 47 groups and collectives from seven Brazilian states and three international ones; and the 19 training actions that make up the program schedule.
The program spreads through the rooms of the main theaters in the city, also taking over the city's streets, with presentations in busy places such as Rua Felipe Schmidt, Largo da Catedral and Largo da Alfândega. Eight neighborhoods in Florianópolis receive the shows of the “Cena open in the communities” Show, with presentations of 14 outdoor shows. The “Cena Universitária” will give the opportunity for academic projects to leave the classrooms, being effectively presented to the public at the UBRO Theater and at the Álvaro de Carvalho Theater - TAC.
