Kassandra, Princess of Troy. She was born a boy, but transformed her body and became a sex warrior. She had the gift of clairvoyance, but was called mad when she foresaw the terrible tragedy. Tonight, she receives clients at the nightclub where she works and recounts, in a language that is not her own, the violent and sensual myth that Greek writers forgot to narrate.
the spectacle of La Vaca Company of Performing Arts, with performance of Milena Moraes and direction of Renato Turnes, became known for appropriating adult entertainment houses to update the Greek myth of the Princess of Troy. The text of the Franco-Uruguayan playwright Sergio Blanco was created to be staged in unconventional spaces and in a rudimentary english, very basic, typical of someone who needs to communicate in a language that is not their own.
in the assembly Brazilian, Kassandra is presented as an artist-performer of a nightclub, in which the Trojan heroine resurfaces today, in her crude immigrant English, to retell her story and demystify her own myth. It is a hybrid of mythology and pop culture.
