Film Festival Music Places Session – Cine Coisa Linda and Nau Catarineta

! - This event/schedule has already happened - !

together with the Nau Catarineta Cultural Center: Coisa Linda Film Club promotes a special exhibition of three films from the national alternative cinematographic scene. It is the show Sessão Lugares Musicados, which has a chat with filmmakers after the end of the sessions. The three short films that make up the session show the influence of places on the lives and creative process of artists in theatre, music and cinema. In the movie Roots, A Piano in the Amazon, the film's director and pianist Carla Ruaro and her team take a piano to remote villages in the Amazon. Usually confined to concert halls, the instrument reached communities that for the first time were able to see, hear and experience a piano. For 20 days, Carla traveled by boat along the Arapiuns River giving workshops on the history and mechanics of the piano, as well as the history of local composers and their works inspired by the Amazonian nature. Returning to the house where she was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, the city where she began her artistic career, results in a whirlwind of emotions and memories that Severo Cruz shares crudely and generously in the film. Severus Severino, directed by Kátia Klock and Marco Martins. Amidst the serene and expansive nature of the sea at Santo Antônio de Lisboa, in Florianópolis, filmmakers and musicians live together in a house and document four compositions by Wilson Souza developed especially for the occasion. in short there is to come, directed by Alan Langdon, spontaneity and musical meditation intertwine with nature and architecture, lifting everyone into an atmosphere beyond.
