With two children, Joana was abandoned by her younger husband, the sambista Jasão (played by Alejandro Claveaux, a convincing actor and regular singer), who is going to marry the daughter of businessman Creonte. Reduced to the two main characters, the staging brings in the soundtrack, in addition to Basta um Dia, Bem-Querer and the title theme, songs that were not part of the original, such as Cálice, Pedaço de Mim and Mulheres de Atenas. In the skin of Joana, Laila Garin walks between bitterness and oppression and gives a show in the songs performed by five instrumentalists under the musical direction of Pedro Luís.
