The program, entirely dedicated to klavierstuecke de Brahms and played by the pianist Vania Pimental, is a generic title that he gave his piano songs according to tradition. The dense technical difficulty will be clarified in the performance to express the different states of the composer's soul in his Caprichos, Intermezzos, and Rhapsodies.
O Opus 76, the beginning of the collection, oscillates between agitated and graceful; already the Opus 79, inspired by one of his muses, is intense, passionate and outgoing. In his last Opus, the composer shows his suffering for the loss of loved ones, as he called the Opus 117. Again the contrast reappears in the Opus 118, with passion, tenderness and an energetic Ballade. But not Opus 119, the melancholy returns five years before his death, alternating agitation and lightness and culminating in a Rhapsody resolute to fight to the end.
It is worth remembering that this is the last concert of the season 2014 do Jurerê Classic Auditorium.
