The Island String Orchestra resumes activities this Sunday (30), at Lagoa da Conceição, with a presentation composed of some works by Dall'Abaco, Mozart, Saint-George, Dalmacio and Bodgan Antoane. The Orchestra, created in 2005, aims to provide musical education and encourage the study of classical and popular music and the formation of an audience.
The project also promotes didactic concerts, which address the richness of music and the importance of classical instruments. During the concert, in addition to the music of great national and international composers, the public receives information about the lives and works of these artists, as well as their contributions to the history of music. The Orquestra de Cordas da Ilha is a work carried out through a partnership between music professionals and students of the Music Course at the University of the State of Santa Catarina (Udesc).
