Those dates back to the history of Maria de Bil, a popular saint from the city of Várzea Alegre (CE). Murdered in 1926 by her “companion”, transformed into a martyr, to this day she is an icon of devotion of the people of the region. In the show, which mixes the story of the saint with the personalities of the performers, the public is invited to participate in the preparation of an indigestible dinner involving knives, meat, blood and other elements, offered at the table with the bodies of the actresses/performers themselves. A delicate and cruel staging that presents, through performative paintings, a kaleidoscope of the various forms of violence in a sexist society. Enjoy your food.
