Isnard Azevedo Festival Children are welcomed with a vast program of shows that will take the public to the world of play and imagination between the 17th and 25th of October. Inspired by the work of Jules Verne, the production “Five weeks in a balloon”, by the São Paulo group Sopens Theater Light, opens children's programming. Cia Manipuladora de Formas Etc i Tal, from Itajaí (SC), also focuses on manipulation to entertain children, with the show “Alevanta Boi”.

With a soundtrack that ranges from children's music hits from the 1980s to Rock classics, AtrapaTrupe de Teatro, from Florianópolis (SC), presents “A Super Banda – for all ages”. Using clown language, the production uses clowning, magic, juggling, and lots of joy, to show that music is for all ages. And speaking of classics, Turma do Papum revives the story of “Alice in Wonderland”, but this time in a more Brazilian reality, in which the main character encounters countless animals from the national fauna.

Directly from Pará, the Dirigível Coletivo de Teatro presents the musical “The Little Great Aviator and the Invisible Planet”. The show tells the story of the life of a “Little Prince” who invites the public to discover his planet, his rose, his volcanoes and embark on his interplanetary journey. The circulation was awarded the Funarte Theater Prize Myriam Muniz 2014. As part of the Quintais Cênios exhibition, the group Teatro em Trâmite presents the children's story “Histories Horripilantes”, and Téspis Cia. de Teatro bets on the playful story of Wonderland as inspiration for the montage “One, two, three: Alice!”, which promises to delight the little ones.

Completing the children's program are two shows designed by “Círculo Artístico Teodora”: “La Bella Polenta”, a bilingual production (Portuguese and Italian that narrates the meeting between the lively Brazilian Cristina and the fearless Italian immigrant Benedetta; and “Tales that Vovó Tells ”, which recreates legends from Brazilian folklore, in the narratives of Vó Maria, personified by storyteller Margarida Baird.

The programming is free.
