Body Drawings: Human Figure Drawing with Live Model

! - This event/schedule has already happened - !

The Workshop includes teaching how to draw the human figure, using the live model as a tool of plastic language, according to the traditional art métier. At an intensive pace and lasting 5 days, the Workshop provides notions of artistic anatomy as support for drawing the human body - promoting reflection through independent visual production.

The in-person experience of drawing from live models (male and female) activates the participant's observation and awareness of the elements of visual language and its relational procedures.

Offered for the first time in Florianópolis, the Workshop is an opportunity to learn about the techniques and procedures of traditional figure drawing, and to come into contact with numerous references in contemporary drawing and painting.

With 10 years of teaching experience, the teacher Gustavo Diaz placeholder image, who currently resides in Porto Alegre teaching the Artistic Anatomy and Living Model Drawing Workshop at Casa de Cultura Mário Quintana, worked for 7 years in Curitiba at the Museu da Gravura Cidade de Curitiba.

Solar do Barão as a professor of Human Body Drawing, and also at Udesc (Center for Arts|Ceart), Gustavo is co-founder of Mímesis Conexões Artísticas in Curitiba – an independent cultural space, where he organized a figure study center, proposing the creation of production and exhibition groups.
