Na Contemporary Embroidery Workshop are taught the basic (and useful) stitches of free embroidery. The objective is to gain knowledge and apply it in different types of artistic expression. The workshop, hosted by Carol Cricket, is divided into two parts: In the initial part, the student gets to know the tools and materials he uses (the kit is already included), in addition to learning how to prepare them properly before starting. Six basic stitches of free embroidery are taught, practiced on fabric. In the second part, the possibilities of expression of embroidery are shown through examples of artists from different countries. It is here that the participant begins his personal project, putting into practice the points learned. The embroidery theme is free. The idea is that each one has a design to start their embroidery in the hoop. Some drawings are also provided. Author: Luis Augusto Machado
