A BADESC Cultural Foundation, in partnership with researchers from the UNESCO Chair, Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and University of the State of Santa Catarina (UDESC), offers from September 21 to 26, from 15:30 pm to 17:30 pm, the virtual workshop “Mediterranean images and the pathos from Santa Catarina: an atlas of memory, art and history”. The meetings are free and registration to participate is limited and must be completed using a form. available online.
In the event online issues present in human experience and which constitute Santa Catarina's memory will be discussed. The goal is, in the end, to create an image atlas of Santa Catarina in relation to images of Latin American and Mediterranean cultures. The teachers Aline Dias da Silveira (UFSC) and Thays Tonin (UDESC), are the ones who coordinate the workshop, which was selected in the Elisabete Anderle 2019 Public Notice and also has cultural support from Fundação Catarinense de Cultura (FCC).
Event dynamics
As it is a collaborative workshop, the participation of all selected participants is very important in carrying out the dynamics, which will be divided into three moments:
classrooms: researchers will present 40-minute classes and they will be made available 24 hours in advance, so that participants can watch them whenever they want;
Search: in a second moment, participants will be asked to do a brief search for images on the internet. This step is necessary to carry out the third part of the workshop;
Office: consists of a dynamic lasting up to 2 hours, where subjects from the classes and also about the images collected by the participants will be discussed.
Atlas of Santa Catarina Memory
At the end of the six meetings, the construction of a possible Atlas of Santa Catarina Memory, using the research of the mediators, with the images proposed by the participants. This Atlas will be sent for a presentation in Italy, for the UNESCO Chair.
