Seminar and Creative Workshop on Gastronomy

The event is part of the Saberes e Sabores de Santa Catarina project, an action of the Unesco Creative City of Gastronomy program Florianópolis. The program begins with the Seminar on Cultural Identity in the Gastronomy of Santa Catarina, which includes debates with chefs, designers and researchers on topics such as traditional and Azorean cuisine, contemporary gastronomy and the relationship between culture and gastronomy, in order to prepare participants for the creative workshop, which will bring together twelve designers from Brazil, Argentina, Spain and Mexico and will act in the orientation of students and graduates of Design participating in the workshop. The applicants will be divided into groups and, under the guidance of the invited designers, they will develop collections of products related to the most expressive dishes of Santa Catarina's cuisine.
