As part of Floripa's program of workshops in Foto 2019, the workshop Photographic Diaries - Personal Stories in Visual Narratives is taught by the photographer Marcelo Greco No. Integrated Culture Center (CIC). The workshop is divided into three stages: 1 - During the first part I will present the concept of a Photographic Diary through books by several photographers. From Robert Frank's book The lines of my hand, to works by contemporary photographers. Presenting what has changed in the evolution of the understanding of photography as a language in the construction of narratives of this type. 2 - The second part is intended for the presentation of the students' work. I will read the materials indicating paths, routes and possibilities of narrative constructions. Tasks will be proposed so that a final work is presented at the last meeting. 3 - With challenges launched, students must return with the proposed exercises made to close the course. It is essential that all participating people bring a set of printed photographs (can be in size 10x15cm) and any material they deem necessary for the presentation of their work.
