Synopsis:

Linde is a progressive and rebellious grandmother of Polish-Jewish origin who has a privileged life and lives in Tuscany surrounded by the heated chaos in her family's village. Winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, she secretly flirts with the young Egyptian who runs a nearby seaside inn. After a terrorist attack in Rome, Maria refuses to succumb to the hysterical fear and anti-immigrant sentiment that is rapidly emerging in the country.
