Synopsis: Set in the year 1891, the film presents the part of Gauguin's story in which he is exiled to Tahiti - wanting to rediscover his free, wild painting, far from the moral, political and aesthetic codes of civilized Europe. He infiltrates the jungle, facing loneliness, poverty, disease. There, Gauguin meets Tehura, who will become his wife and the subject of his most important canvases.
