Synopsis: The writer and psychoanalyst Lou Andreas Salomé lives in a free and challenging way. His ideas and attitudes seduced the most brilliant minds of his time, such as the philosophers Paul Rée and Friedrich Nietzsche, the psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud, the poet Rainer Maria Rilke, as well as the young philologist Ernst Pfeiffer. Aiding Lou in recording her memories, he also ends up falling in love with her.
