Synopsis: In November 1918, a few days before the Armistice, Édouard Péricourt saves the life of Albert Maillard. Both have nothing in common other than war, and they are forced to unite in order to survive. Years later, Albert and Édouard decide to mount a fraud on the monuments to the dead. They also plan a hoax to unmask Lieutenant Pradelle, who is trying to make a fortune from the bodies of war victims.
