Synopsis: Based on the Japanese folk tale Cutting the Bamboo, the animation tells the story of Kaguya, who was a tiny baby when she was found inside a glowing bamboo trunk. After a while, she turns into a beautiful young woman who becomes coveted by 5 nobles, including the Emperor himself. But none of them are what she really wants. The girl sends her suitors on seemingly impossible tasks to try to avoid marrying a stranger she doesn't love. Kaguya, however, will have to face her fate and her punishment for her choices.
