Synopsis: The film follows an excerpt from the life of William Marston, the Harvard psychologist and inventor who helped make the lie detector real and who also created the character Wonder Woman in 1941. Marston had a polygamous relationship involving his wife Elizabeth Marston. (Rebecca Hall), a psychologist and inventor, and Olive Byrne, an alumnus turned academic. This relationship and the feminist ideals of the two women were essential to the creation of the character.
