Synopsis: A nation whose dream of freedom has been shattered meets its rival on a different battlefield in this film inspired by a true story. Blood on the Water celebrates the heroic Hungarian revolution of 1956 that takes place in Budapest and the Melbourne Olympic Games in October and November of that year. As Soviet tanks ravaged their country, the Hungarian water polo team beat the Soviets in the most violent contest in history.
