Synopsis: In the early 1960s, Bernward Vesper (August Diehl) and his university friend Gudrun Ensslin (Lena Lauzemis) fall in love amidst the West German atmosphere. The couple founded a small publishing house that, even in its first work, caused controversy: it was an old text by Bernward's father, a famous Nazi author. The questioning opens new directions in the couple's life, in an era of change and radicalization.
