O Street carnival It's always very fun and informal. It's right in the sense: "come more and join the revelry with us"!
Florianópolis, for having several regions, shelters a lot of good things throughout its extension. And, during Carnival, the communities unite even more, providing moments of great joy in the streets.
The streets are decorated and colorful. The blocks parade in different neighborhoods, accompanied by locals and tourists.
In some neighborhoods, the passage of blocks is already part of the local culture.
This is the case of Saint Anthony of Lisbon e sambaqui, where the Street Carnival is held every year, with dolls and floats produced by the community itself.
It also has the block Frame and Conceição Lagoon.
Another characteristic of these blocks is the appreciation of the culture of the Island, seen in the name of the blocks and in the samba-enredos, which some have.
The most famous and awaited parade in Floripa is the Dirty Block, which always takes place on Carnival Saturday, right in the center of the city.
Blocks of transvestite men and women pass through the streets, with the most diverse costumes possible. It is worth investing in makeup, shine and especially in the joy to participate in this block.
